Are you ready to shop till you drop . . . DEAD?!

The Gravery is the store every Horror fan is dying to visit! Owned by generations of the Fielding family, it boasts an unmatched inventory of haunted objects and other death-related artifacts.

The merchandise includes Carnival-brand straws that serial killer Burt Longy used to slit-and-sip fluids from his victim's bodies during the 70s and 80s, the last-remaining Malibu Sharon doll from 1969 that was in the room when Sharon Tate was brutally slaughtered by the Manson Family, Elvis' final costume from 1977 that pop diva Gal Skull wore when the Berlin arena she was performing in collapsed around her killing all 30,000 fans, an original drawing by Neptune Boy, and so much more!

One afternoon, thirty-something Kurtess Stein strolls into The Gravery looking for the ultimate 40th birthday gift for his pro-baseball-pitcher husband Rip Burns. Owner Rector Fielding happily shows him around and makes sure he finds exactly what he's looking for, though Kurtess will quickly learn his purchases are definitely more than he bargained for.

As all hell breaks loose, you’ll be led through multiple, blood-soaked narrative mazes—including slasher, cult, paranormal, demonic, sci-fi, and witchy—one deadlier than the next.

A title I recently came across

I recently came across a video post on Instagram by author and artist, Noƫ Ray, and their epic debut, Apocalypse Everyday, Everyday Apocalypse.

Synopsis here:

In an environmentally ravished world, the small colony of surviving humans live under the control of a seemingly benevolent corporation that has redefined 'personhood' and stripped humanity down to nothing but their labor use. An update to the system is about to automate everything, and leave nothing and no one alive. A propagandist, a sentimental AI system, and a humanist fungus must find a way to communicate and cooperate to stop the world from ending. Again.

If you have not yet come across Noƫ's book, titled Apocalypse Everyday, Everyday Apocalypse, rectify that asap and go grab a copy.

Ally Shoutout

My mate Ian Gielen, talented Australian author and dear friend, has a lot going on with his writing. He's working on a series, where the first entry was titled Mother of Mine.

He's also been a massive supporter of mine with his reviews on not only my books, but Slashic titles more broadly. He's just an all-round lovely human being, and you should all go support him!

But for now, let's focus on his latest nightmare, A Bone to Pick. The A Bone to Pick is synopsis is below:

Julius Stone has it all: a successful career as a doctor, a loving wife, and a daughter, Hannah, who is the light of their lives. That is, until Hannah falls into the orbit of Sheridan Conway, heir to one of Philadelphia’s most corrupt families. When Hannah sees something she shouldn’t, Sheridan brutally murders her to protect his secrets, and the Conway patriarch, Desmond, uses the family’s influence to bury the truth.

Consumed by grief and rage, Julius launches a one-man crusade to expose the Conways

and bring Sheridan to justice, but every attempt is crushed by the family’s power, wealth and ruthlessness. Every family has its cracks, however, and for the Conways, that crack is their estranged son, Adrian.

When an oddity expo arrives in Philadelphia showcasing a cursed Kodak camera said to trap souls and give the photographer control over them, Julius is desperate enough that even the seemingly impossible sounds too tempting to resist. The plan seems perfect if the camera works: use it on Adrian and take down the Conways from within, but nothing is ever that simple. Revenge always comes with a cost, and on this occasion, one that may be far higher than that of a single soul.

You can follow Ian on Facebook and Instagram.

What's Next?

2026 has been a huge year, and it's not even over yet! 2027 is set to be quite big, as well, with 9 releases from mostly new-to-Slashic authors! I will be publishing a full list of authors and titles soon, so keep an eye out on that.

The 2028 schedule is still in flux. I have a few submissions left to read, so thank you so much for everyone's patience. I don't want to make excuses about why it's taken so long; the fact is that people have been waiting and I am very conscious of that. I will be getting fully caught up as soon as is humanly possible.

Until next time... stay queer and keep reading!
